40 Watts: Illuminating Herstory
Esteemed member, Eleanor Dickinson begins her essay about WCA's history by writing, 'The Women's Caucus for Art was born in anger and nurtured by challenge and innovation...' Drawing from the foundations of our past forty years, with the fragile, dim beginnings strengthened by the non-apologetic voices of women artists that sought to create change -- what beliefs have you espoused and how are these visions manifested in your work?
From this collective consciousness that winds and binds through our herstory, what has been your artistic inspiration and vision throughout these four decades? What transformative change do you want to bring about through your artwork?
We invite artists to create works that incite dialog, passion and excitement for themselves and the gallery visitors.
