Eyes In The Dark is an astrophotography exhibition at Aurora Gallery from April 10-May 30, 2026.
The 2026 show's focus is "Astrophotography in New Mexico", emphasizing the beauty and value of New Mexico's night skies - and the importance of protecting New Mexico's night skies.
With this in mind:
- Nightscape imagery must feature the New Mexico landscape
- Deep space, planetary, solar, or other astroimagery must have been acquired within the state of New Mexico, i.e., your telescope must have been physically located within the state when you acquired your images (remotely acquired images from telescope hosting sites like Dark Sky New Mexico are welcome!).
Composite images may be submitted; such images must be identified as composites, and the techniques used in their creation must be described in a straightforward and complete manner.
AI-generated images are not allowed.
With payment of the non-refundable $50 entry fee, photographers may submit up to (5) images in JPG format for jury consideration. 50% of the $50 entry fee will be donated to the New Mexico chapter of DarkSky International to support its work to restore and preserve New Mexico’s ancestral heritage of majestic, star-filled skies and dark nighttime environments.
