Robbin Gallery of Arts fine art exhibit, 30th Extremely Minnesota, invites artists living and working in Minnesota to exhibit their best work in the historic Robbinsdale Library's Robbin Gallery. This show has grown year over year in numbers of pieces submitted, number exhibited and quality of work. Prize awards totaling $1000. Entry ONLY through EntryThingy.com.
ELIGIBILITY: All Minnesota resident artists age 18 and up may enter up to two (2) pieces.
*Entries must be original works of art completed within the previous three years, and not produced under the supervision of an instructor.
*Works previously exhibited in Robbin Gallery are not eligible.
*Artist stipulates all elements of the works are their own and the artist owns the copyright of submitted works.
AWARDS: $1000 in Awards for Artistic Merit, Award of Excellence and Best of Show will be presented during the Opening Reception. Artist need not be present to receive Award.
MEDIA: 2D and 3D visual art forms including but not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, textile, photography, digital, mixed media are acceptable. Sorry, we cannot accept video, performance and work requiring electric hookup.
Artists must exhibit original works, if accepted; Robbin Gallery does not exhibit reproductions/copies of original paintings, drawings, etc. Prints are allowed only if this is common practice for the medium, such as photography, lithography, block-printing and digital.
Size Limitation: 2D works must not exceed 48 inches in either direction. 3D works must not exceed 36 inches in any direction and must be self-supporting; received ready to install.
FRAMING REQUIREMENTS: All 2D work must be properly prepared for exhibition; framed with wire securely attached. Unframed paintings must have finished edges.
The following are not accepted: Wet paint, clamp/clip frames, fragile frames, glass frames, and thick, bulky, decorative frames not represented in the juried image as part of the work of art. Robbin Gallery reserves the right to reject work that it deems unprofessionally framed, potentially dangerous or too fragile for the display system.
JURY FORMAT: Works are juried from digital images submitted. Artists may submit one image for each 2D work of art. Do not include matting and frame unless either is inherently part of the work. Two images may be submitted for each 3D work. Robbin Gallery suggests artists use the best available techniques or professional assistance to present the most accurate digital representation of your work. Final judging for awards will be completed upon receipt of accepted artworks received by the due date.
ACCEPTANCE: Notification of acceptance and additional information will be emailed on October 20 2025. Upon acceptance the artist will be notified by email with details for delivery and pickup of work.
Robbin Gallery reserves the right to reject works not accurately represented by the entry image and description on the entry form. Robbin Gallery may refuse to accept works which have been damaged, are poorly constructed or presented, or deemed a danger for exhibition. Robbin Gallery may refuse to exhibit work judged to be offensive to gallery visitors and/or children.
SALES: All works must be for sale unless NFS is indicated on entry. All accepted work must remain in Robbin Gallery for the duration of the show, even if sold. Robbin Gallery collects payment and will retain a 30% commission from non-members. Member commissions are 10%. Work cannot display 'Call for a Quote'. The label information on the entry form is the label that will display with your work. Proceeds from art sales will be mailed to the artist within 30 days of the close of the show.
INSURANCE: Robbin Gallery makes every effort to safeguard art while in possession of the Gallery. However, Robbin Gallery does not insure artwork. It is recommended artists arrange insurance coverage as needed.
LEGAL AGREEMENT: Entering the competition implies your consent for Robbin Gallery to use your name, artist statement, and/or entered art images in all advertising and publicity for the 30th Extremely Minnesota exhibition including but not limited to print, video, online, social media.
