Glass Painting artwork will be accepted for this juried regional competition that includes $1,000 total in awards: Best in Show, 2 Merit Awards, and a People's Choice Award. Juried by our venerable local SGAA Accredited glass studio owner Jacob Honer of Gaytee Glass and Steven Cowan founder and owner of the United Kingdoms Master Glass Artists Ltd., with awards being juried by the internationally renowned glass painter Indre McCraw of Judson Studios and presented at the Opening Reception. In addition, a People’s Choice Award will be determined by all gallery visitors during the course of the show and with the award presented at the Closing Reception.
Glass painting techniques include: traditional stained glass painting including silver stain, grisaille, etc., enamels, reverse glass painting. Please note that etching, sandblasting, or fused glass frit painting is acceptable if it incorporates elements of glass painting techniques.

Meet the Jurors:
Indre McCraw-Belaris (Awards Judge)
Indre McCraw is a stained glass painter and designer with more than twenty years of experience specializing in traditional painted glass and stained glass conservation. A graduate of Parsons School of Design and former Kress Foundation Fellow at the St. Ann's Stained Glass Conservation Program, she has developed a national reputation for her expertise in replication painting and historic restoration.
Her work includes projects for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Cloisters Museum, the Stanford White Cottage, and the Thomas Edison House, while her original designs can be found at institutions including Yale University and Princeton University's Ivy Club. Indre currently serves as a designer and glass painter at Judson Studios and is a sought-after instructor and lecturer on traditional painted glass techniques.
Steven Cowan (Exhibition Selection Juror)
Steven Cowan began his stained glass career under the tutelage of his father training at the historic John Hardman & Co. in the United Kingdom, where he spent eight years mastering the traditional skills of stained glass fabrication, restoration, and painted glass. In 2009, he founded Master Glass Artists Ltd., creating new stained glass commissions for churches and buildings around the world while also providing specialized glass painting expertise to other studios.
An internationally respected artist and educator, Steven has taught advanced glass painting workshops for both the Stained Glass Association of America (SGAA) and the American Glass Guild (AGG) and has lectured extensively on traditional painted glass techniques. He is widely recognized for his commitment to preserving and advancing the craft of stained glass painting.
Jacob Honer (Exhibition Selection Juror)
Jacob Honer began his stained glass career in 1995 as an apprentice in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Over the past three decades, he has become a respected leader in the field, recognized for his expertise in restoration, conservation, fabrication, and project management.
As founder of Honer Stained Glass and a Foreman at Gaytee Glass, Jacob has trained and supervised skilled artisans while contributing to significant restoration and fabrication projects across the country. His work includes historic churches, cathedrals, state capitol buildings, and landmark architectural sites, as well as the conservation of windows by renowned artists such as John La Farge and Louis Comfort Tiffany.
Through his craftsmanship and commitment to preserving the traditions of stained glass, Jacob is a highly respected figure within the stained glass community.
