FULL CIRCLE is an open call for original 2D and 3D art exploring cycles, connection, and return. The exhibition is hosted by PARC - Plymouth Arts & Recreation Complex Art Gallery.

A circle. It has no beginning and no end. It is a shape we encounter everywhere, from the changing seasons and cycles of nature, to the moon, the movement of water, and the rhythms of everyday life.

For FULL CIRCLE, PARC Art Gallery invites artists to explore the many ways circles appear in our world and in our lives. The theme may be interpreted literally, symbolically, or conceptually. Artists might explore the circle as a visual form, or consider the larger ideas it represents: cycles, repetition, connection, transformation, completion, renewal, and return.

For this show, we are interested in artwork that explores:

CYCLES: The seasons, nature, growth, change, repetition, rhythm, or the passage of time.

CONNECTION: Relationships, community, gathering, interconnectedness, or the ways people and places are linked.

RETURN: Coming back to a person, place, idea, memory, tradition, or experience. Beginnings that lead to endings and endings that become new beginnings.

FORM: Circles, rings, spirals, spheres, or other circular shapes, patterns, and movements.

WHOLENESS: Ideas of completion, balance, continuity, unity, or becoming whole.

These are starting points rather than requirements. Artists are encouraged to find their own interpretation of what it means to come FULL CIRCLE, including submitting work that invites viewers to look twice; to notice a pattern, connection, cycle, or relationship that may not be immediately apparent.

Submitted artwork will be reviewed and curated for inclusion by Élevé Art Gallery. For more information go to: https://www.plymouthparc.com/parc-art-gallery/
