Second Annual Plein Air Art Competition

Deadline for Entry: The deadline to enter is extended to April 15, 2026, and is open to 35 artists. If 35 entries are received before the deadline, entries will be closed.
Location: Check-in and show will be held at Greenstone Country Barn in the Greenstone Country Community, 2900 Stagecoach Road, Placerville CA. Artists will receive detailed instructions upon registration regarding areas open to painters within and outside the Greenstone community.
Entry Fee: The initial entry fee to participate is $39.00 payable at EntryThingy.com.
Two additional canvases may be entered on the day of the event for $10 each. PAA organizers will stamp canvases the morning of the event and collect any fees for up to two additional canvases.
UPDATE TO FRAMING REQUIREMENT: CANVAS WITH A DEPTH OF 1.25 INCHES OR MORE DO NOT REQUIRE FRAMING. SIDES OF CANVAS MUST BE NEATLY PAINTED. WIRE IS REQUIRED.
Entry fees are non-refundable and will be used to cover expenses of the show and reception.
Eligibility: Placerville Arts Association membership is not required. Open to all plein air artists working in two-dimensional media, excluding photography and digital art. Work must be original and created during the day of the event. Only stamped canvases are eligible for judging and the art show following the competition.
