What lies beyond what we can see?

The Fourth Dimension invites photographers to explore imagery that transcends the physical world—where time, emotion, movement, memory, and perception intersect. This open call challenges you to push beyond traditional boundaries and create work that suggests something more: a moment stretched, a feeling suspended, a reality reimagined.

We are seeking photographs that evoke depth beyond the visible—images that hint at unseen layers, altered states, or expanded perspectives. Whether through abstraction, long exposure, ICM, conceptual storytelling, or other experimental techniques, this is your opportunity to interpret the intangible.

Step beyond the surface. Show us what exists in the space we cannot quite define.

This open call is open to anyone who has a passion for photography.
Open to all photographers, emerging and professional.
Whether you prefer to capture the scene with a DSLR, a point-and-shoot, a smartphone, or film, we are looking for creative shots and interesting perspectives.
All styles of photography are welcome within the call description parameters.

Juried Exhibit Reception will be held online on October 7th, 2026, at 7 PM EST via Zoom. The virtual reception will also be recorded and posted on our Photo Art Pavilion YouTube Channel AND displayed on PhotoArtPavilion.com in an online gallery in perpetuity.

NOTIFICATIONS:

All artists who submit their art will be notified via email by the end of the day, September 23rd, 2026.

Awards will be announced during the live Zoom reception
Social media posts will be sent out after the live Zoom reception concludes.
Award winners will receive an email informing them of an award in their name.
Checks will be mailed to the winners after the live Zoom reception date.

Entry Fee: $37.00 for first 5 images. $3 per additional image(s).

All submissions must be free of any watermarks or branding.
Photos need to be in JPEG/JPG format, with the longest edge of 1200 pixels with a file size of 5MB or smaller.
During the upload process, we only need your title.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Media: Photography
Entry Fee: $37 for up to 5 images
Additional images may be submitted for $3 each.
Submit images at 72 dpi, with the longest edge measuring at least 1200 pixels.
Files format in JPG or JPEG.
Entry must be titled.
No watermarks or branding allowed.

LIVE VIRTUAL RECEPTION

All exhibiting artists are strongly encouraged to attend the live virtual reception on October 7th, 2026 @ 7PM
Award winners will be announced during the event. Artists will not know in advance if their work has been selected for an award.
When your artwork receives an award we expect the artist to share a few words about the piece.
At the end of the reception, artists may be invited to briefly speak about their work. Time will be limited.
The live reception will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.
The juror will open the event and discuss each selected image in the show.
When joining the live exhibit, please keep your microphone muted until the juror invites you to speak.

JUROR'S PROCESS

All submissions are juried through EntryThingy in a blind review format. The juror will not know the identity of the artists during the selection process.
The juror will select the top 50 images to curate the final exhibit.
All juror decisions are final.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to photographers aged 18 and older.
Only photographically based works depicting the specified theme will be considered.
All submissions must be created by the submitting artist.

USAGE RIGHTS

By submitting your work, you grant Photo Art Pavilion the right to display selected images on the PhotoArtPavilion.com website and social media platforms, with full credit to the artist and title of the work.
