Hello Spring! Philadelphia Pastel Society Exhibition & Sale

Submissions are only accepted online through EntryThingy which can be found on the PPS website. There is a non-refundable $15 entry fee. Each artist may submit up to 2 pieces; however, only their first submission may be shown. If we do not receive 50 entries, consideration will be given to displaying an artist's second piece.

Submission dates: March 1 to March 20, 2022
Notification of acceptance to the first 50 artists including the title of their accepted piece will be made on March 28, 2022. A substitution cannot be made once submitted through EntryThingy.

Delivery Date: Saturday, April 9, 2022 10 am - noon.
Pickup Date: Monday, May 16, 2022 from 10 am to noon.

Eligibility:
Works must be original and be at least 80% dry pastel. Oil pastels are not allowed nor are varnished dry pastels. 80% of the finished painting must be in dry pastel.

All work must have been completed within the past 3 years (2019 or later).

Artwork previously exhibited in a PPS juried show is not eligible.

Size Limitations: Maximum outside frame dimension is 36 inches on any side.

Digital Entry Requirements: All entries must be in jpg format with a resolution of 300 dpi. Image size should be between 1200 and 1500 pixels on the longest side, with a maximum size of 2 mb. The image file name should be in the following format: First Name_Last Name_ArtworkTitle.jpg. For example, Jane_Smith_PaintersParadise.jpg.

Accepted work must be suitably framed, wired and ready to hang - no saw tooth hangers. If the work is matted, the mat should be white or off white. For double mats, the liner should be no more than 1/4 in. wide. Non-glare glass or plexiglass is encouraged.

Sale of Artwork is between the artist and the buyer. There is a 20% commission due to Beaumont at the end of the show. Pricing of the artwork is the responsibility of the artist and cannot be changed once submitted. All works must be for sale.

Entries not conforming to the above will not be accepted at intake.

All reasonable care will be taken in handling your work; however, Beaumont at Bryn Mawr and PPS do not assume responsibility for damage or loss, whatever the cause, nor do they carry insurance for submitted work.
