Winter Show of Miniature Art

All entries must be original work by the entrant and must adhere to the international definition of miniature art

1. Miniature art is fine art on a small scale with minute attention to detail which can be enlarged or withstand close inspection without revealing any faults.

2. A representational subject should be no larger than 1/6th or smaller than their actual size. Subjects too small for portrayal in 1/6th or smaller than their actual size may meet the spirit of a miniature if the work meets the above definition of miniature art. Non-representational work such as abstracts may meet the spirit of a miniature of all other factors in the definition of a miniature are met.

3. SIZE REQUIREMENTS
a. 2D images must not exceed 25 square inches. The outside measurements of the frame shall not exceed 6 x 8 inches in perimeter, or 48 sq inches, or a total linear measurement of 28 inches around the outside of the frame.

4. FRAMING REQUIREMENTS
a. All 2D entries must be framed, wired properly with D rings. On very small work a single D ring or sawtooth hanger is acceptable.
b. The back of the frame should be covered neatly with paper
c. No sectional frames, metal frames, glass clips or unframed work will be accepted.
5. All accepted work must have a label with the following information attached to the back

a. Artist Name
b. Title of Art

ENTRY FEES
$15 for the first piece, $5 per each additional pieces, up to 7 pieces. Limit 7 pieces per artist. PLEASE NOTE size requirements and framing requirements. Parklane Gallery reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet these requirements. All entry fees are non-refundable.

RULES OF ENTRY
1. All registration and entry for this show is done online. Please review the prospectus and enter online; entry fees are part of the registration process.

2. All entries will be juried based on the image submitted with online registration.

3. All work must be photographed with the frame.

IMPORTANT: In the dimensions space indicate the size of the ARTWORK (hxw)
In the description of your work, include the size of the FRAME from edge to edge (hxw)
If accepted, the description of the artwork will be used to describe the work in the online store. Include all relevant details, including medium, image and frame size.

Artists should ensure that images of artwork are of good quality and are representative of the original. When photographing your own work avoid background clutter, glare or reflection. Do not skew the proportions of the artwork. Ensure the photo is in focus and properly lit. Images may be used by Parklane Gallery to promote the show via publications and online. NOTE Images submitted must have a minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side.

All work must be for sale. Suggested minimum price is $100. There will be a 35% commission on sold work.

Only original works by the artist will be accepted. Artists ensure that the work does not infringe upon any copyrighted material or work by another artist. All work submitted must be new to Parklane Gallery and have been created in the last 5 years.
No wet work will be accepted.
Packaged and shipped art should be carefully labeled and packed to avoid damage.
Parklane Gallery reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet entry specifications.
