Parklane Gallery 33rd Annual International Miniature Show

This show is open for artwork meeting the definition of miniature art. Photography, digital art, prints or giclees are NOT accepted into this show. Oversized artwork will not be accepted; please carefully read all the Entry Instructions.

DEFINITION OF MINIATURE ART
* Miniature Art is fine art created on a small scale with meticulous attention to detail. It can be enlarged or withstand close inspection without revealing any flaws.
* Representational subjects should not exceed 1/6th of their actual size. Even subjects that cannot be accurately depicted at 1/6th or smaller can still embody the essence of miniature art if they adhere to the core principles outlined above.
* Non-representational works, such as abstracts, may also capture the spirit of miniature art, provided they meet all other criteria in the definition.

SIZE REQUIREMENTS
a) For 2D artwork intended to hang on the wall, the image area (height by width) must not exceed 25 square inches. Outside measurements, including the frame, should not surpass 48 square inches or a total linear measurement of 28 inches around the frame's perimeter.
b) For 3D (sculptural) artwork, all dimensions, including the base, must be 6 inches or less.

FRAMING REQUIREMENTS
a) All 2D entries must be framed.
b) 2D pieces must be ready to hang. Wired with D-rings is preferred, but on very small work a single D ring or sawtooth hanger is acceptable.
c) The back of the frame should be covered neatly with paper.
d) No sectional frames, metal frames, glass clips or unframed work will be accepted.

ARTWORK IDENTIFICATION
All accepted work must have a label SECURELY attached to the back (2D) or base (3D) of the artwork, with the following information:
- Artist Name
- Title of Art
- Price

ENTRY FEES AND COMMISSION
The entry fee is $25 for the first piece and $5 for each additional piece up to 7 pieces per artist. Entry fees are part of the online registration process and paid through entrythingy.com. Entry fees are non-refundable. There will be a 35% commission on sold work.

ENTRY FORM INSTRUCTIONS -----
a) In the DIMENSIONS SPACE on entrythingy.com, enter the dimensions of the artwork (height x width)
b) In the DESCRIPTION SPACE, include all relevant details, such as medium, image, and frame size.

DIGITAL SPECIFICATIONS-------
All entries will be judged based on the submitted image during online registration and must meet the following requirements:
a) Photograph 2D artwork with the frame
b) Images of the artwork must have a minimum resolution of 1920 pixels on the longest side.
c) Images must be in focus, taken straight-on, without glare or reflection.

ENTRY DETAILS -----
Originality: The concept, design, and execution of the artwork must be solely that of the artist. The unauthorized use of copyrighted images (including published photographs) or work by another artist is not permitted. Availability: All submitted artwork must be available for sale, with a suggested minimum price of $100.
No Substitutions: Once a piece is accepted into the show, no substitutions are allowed.
Promotion: By submitting your artwork, you grant Parklane Gallery permission to use your images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to press releases, printed promotional materials, the gallery website, online show announcements, social media, etc. All work will be credited where applicable.
