Parklane Gallery 32nd Annual International Miniature Show

DEFINITION OF MINIATURE ART
* Miniature art is fine art on a small scale with minute attention to detail which can be enlarged or withstand close inspection without revealing any faults.
* A representational subject should be no larger than 1/6th of their actual size. Subjects too small for portrayal in 1/6th or smaller than their actual size may meet the spirit of a miniature if the work meets the above definition of miniature art.
* Non-representational work such as abstracts may meet the spirit of a miniature if all other factors in the definition of a miniature are met.
* Photography, digital art, prints or giclees are NOT accepted into this show.

SIZE REQUIREMENTS
* For 2D artwork which hangs on the wall, image area of must not exceed 25 square inches and the outside measurements including the frame shall not exceed 48 sq inches, or a total linear measurement of 28 inches around the outside of the frame.
* For 3D (sculptural) artwork, all dimensions must be 6 inches or less, including the base.

FRAMING REQUIREMENTS
a) All 2D entries must be framed and wired properly with D rings. On very small work a single D ring or sawtooth hanger is acceptable.
b) the back of the frame should be covered neatly with paper.
c) No sectional frames, metal frames, glass clips or unframed work will be accepted.
d)All accepted work must have a label with the following information SECURELY attached to the back:
- Artist Name
- Title of Art
- Medium
- Price

ENTRY FEES AND COMMISSION
The entry fee is $25 for the first piece and $5 for each additional piece up to 7 pieces per artist. Entry fees are part of the online registration process and paid through entrythingy.com. Entry fees are non-refundable. There will be a 35% commission on sold work.

IMPORTANT ENTRY DETAILS

1. Registration - All registration and entry for this show will be done online through entrythingy.com.
2. Originality - The concept, design and execution of the artwork will be solely that of the artist. Unauthorized use of any copyrighted images (including published photographs) or work by another artist will not be accepted. Alterations or production prints will not be accepted.
3. Digital Specifications - All entries will be juried based on the image as submitted during online registration and must meet the following requirements:
* Frames: All 2D artwork must be photographed WITH frames.
* minimum of 1920 pixels on the longest side.
* images of artwork must be in focus
* photograph is taken straight-on, not at an angle, and without glare or reflection.
* Images are cropped so that only the artwork is visible.
4. Availability - All work must be for sale. The suggested minimum price is $100. Once a piece is accepted to the show, no substitutions are allowed.
5. Promotion - By submitting your artwork you are giving Parklane Gallery permission to use your images for promotional purposes including but not limited to press releases, printed promotional items, the gallery website, online show announcements, social media, etc. All work will be credited where applicable.
6. Entry Specifications - Parklane Gallery reserves the right to refuse work that does not meet entry specifications.
7. Entry Form instructions: - When filling out the entry form on entrythingy.com, in the Dimensions space include the size of the artwork (height x width) and in the Description space all relevant details including medium, image and frame size.
8. Delivery - Instructions for hand-delivery and shipping of pieces accepted to the show will be provided in acceptance email.
