2020 Winter Show of Miniatures and Small Works

All 2D mediums including photography and digital art, are acceptable entries.

SIZE REQUIREMENTS
Work must not exceed an image size of 144 square inches AND the longest side including frame must not exceed 12”.
a) Work is considered a Miniature if the image size (frame excluded) does not exceed 25 square inches. The artwork will exhibit minute attention to detail which can be enlarged or withstand close inspection without revealing any faults, and otherwise meet the spirit of international miniature art.
b) Work is considered a Small Work if the image size does not exceed 144 square inches and the longest side including frame does not exceed 12”. For example: a 12x12 canvas would be acceptable if it is unframed and the sides appropriately finished and suitable for hanging. Pieces smaller than 25 square inches may be considered Small Works if they do not meet the standards for a miniature.
c) When submitting a piece, artists may use the description field to specify their intent to consider the art a Miniature or Small Work. However, Parklane Gallery reserves the right to re-classify entries as needed, to meet size and style qualifications.

SUBMISSION DETAILS – ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
When submitting artwork, the description box for the entry MUST include:
1. Size of image without frame (Height x Width)
2. Size of artwork including frame, outside edge to outside edge (Height x Width)

FRAMING REQUIREMENTS
1. All entries must be framed, wired properly with D rings. On very small work a single D ring or sawtooth hanger is acceptable.
2. The back of the frame must be neatly finished and professional
3. No sectional frames or glass clips. Unframed work will be considered as a Small Work.
4. All accepted work must have a label with the following information attached to the back

a. Artist Name
b. Title of Art
c. Medium
d. Size of Image and Size of Frame
e. Price

ENTRY FEES
$15 for the first piece, $5 per each additional pieces, up to 7 pieces. Limit 7 pieces per artist. PLEASE NOTE size requirements and framing requirements. Parklane Gallery reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet these requirements. All entry fees are non-refundable.

RULES OF ENTRY
1. All registration and entry for this show is done online. Please review the prospectus carefully before submitting You will pay your entry fee as part of the registration process. All entry fees are non-refundable.
2. Unfortunately due to border delays we can not accept international shipments for this show.
3. All entries will be juried based on the image submitted with online registration. Photography of framed work must include the frame. Artists should ensure that images of artwork are of good quality and are representative of the original. When photographing your own work, crop your image (including frame) to remove background clutter, and avoid glare or reflection. Do not skew the proportions of the artwork. Ensure the photo is in focus and properly lit. Images may be used by Parklane Gallery to promote the show via publications and online. NOTE Images submitted must have a minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side.
3. All work must be for sale. Suggested minimum price is $100.
4. There will be a 35% commission on sold work.
5. Only original works by the artist will be accepted. Artists ensure that the work does not infringe upon any copyrighted material or work by another artist. All work submitted must have been created in the last 5 years.
6. No wet work will be accepted.
7. Packaged and shipped art should be packed to avoid damage, and include a postage-paid return label. Complete shipping instructions will be provided in the acceptance letters.
8. Parklane Gallery reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet entry specifications
