Tales and Songs

To enter, you must be a current member of the Guild of American Papercutters. To see more and to join (dues are $40/year), visit us at https://papercutters.org and click on the top menu item 'Join.'

Entry fee: $20
Number of pieces: 1-3
Venue commission: 30%

We require one digital image per artwork submission, but you may add up to three additional views per piece that you enter.

Images
*Submit up to a total of 4 jpeg images for each piece
*First image should be primary view
*Include at least one image that shows entire piece

File format
*JPEG/JPG only
*Do not use Progressive JPEG format
*No pdfs

File dimensions
*No smaller than 600 pixels on smaller side, no larger than 2000 pixels on the longest side

Artwork requirements:
*original 2D or 3D work
*maximum 2D size 60' on longest side
*2D work must be properly mounted and framed ready to hang with wire
*for 3D sculptures, Panama City Center for the Arts has display pedestals, some 12x12, some 15x15 inch covers; there are some pedestals without protective covers available. Consider if your work can be displayed using such pedestals, and consult GAP if unsure ([email protected])
*for larger 3D works, please check with GAP (email: [email protected]) before submitting.
*for large or heavy works 2D or 3D, please also check with GAP before submitting

If accepted, you will be responsible for sending your artwork to Panama City Center for the Arts by February 24, 2023. More info about shipping forthcoming.
