'Through Our Eyes'

* Artists can submit up to 3 pieces of artwork for consideration and encouraged to submit the best representation of your artistic expression.
* All works must be original and entirely the work of the artist.
* Artists must submit work on their own behalf. Submissions by galleries and artist representatives are not eligible.
* No copies, derivatives or reproductions; work cannot be based on copyrighted or materials previously published.
* Works should have been produced within the last 7 years.
* 2D works must measure at least 9 x 12 inches BEFORE matting or framing. Image sizes stated through EntryThingy must NOT include matting and framing.
* 2D works must not exceed 48 inches in height and 48 inches in width, including framing.
* 3D work may not exceed 55 x 30 x 30 inches. Weight should be less than 20 pounds. It is preferable that you submit 2 views of 3D work.
* Artists may not substitute or alter the work after it has been selected.
* Art submitted must be able to hang on a vertical surface or fit into a small wall display case.
* Artwork requiring freestanding pedestals will not be considered for this exhibit.
* Image size: 1080 pixels on the SHORTEST side with a maximum of 300dpi resolution. Baseline JPG only.

BE THOROUGH:
* Please enter the image dimension(HxWxD) without frame or mat.
* Images entered with incomplete data (date, dimensions, title, price) may not be considered.
* Note that EntryThingy saves previous entries for you.
* Please enter your information carefully and completely! No changes will be made to the information entered with your application on or after the day of delivery.
* You may take more than one session to complete your entry. USE THE 'SUBMIT THIS ENTRY' BUTTON ONLY WHEN ALL IMAGES AND INFORMATION HAVE BEEN ENTERED.

ENTRY FEES:
$20.00 total per artist, non-refundable. The fee will be used to help cover the cost of this endeavor.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS:
* Artists will be required to complete an Onyx contract and inventory form and deliver them when the artwork is delivered. If the artist already has a contract on file then only the inventory form is required upon artwork delivery.
* Entries must be clean, suitably finished and wired for hanging. Saw-tooth or cardboard hangers, brackets or hooks are not acceptable. Work will be inspected upon arrival.
* Any 2D material that is flexible, other than textiles, must be framed and wired. Mats must have a fresh appearance.
* Textile of all kinds must have a sleeve with a dowel or strip of wood, with hanging hardware attached.
* No on-site assembly.
* If work is being shipped from out of state, it must arrive by June 17, 2016 , and two-way shipping must be prepaid by the artist. Mailing instructions are shown below.
* Please bring or send 25 standard size business cards with your accepted work.
* It is suggested that artwork be protected with corrugated cardboard or its equivalent to provide additional protection of the artwork during transport. Please avoid the use of bubble wrap to protect the outside of the artwork.

DELIVERY OF SELECTED ARTWORK:

To Western Washington location -

Shipped artwork must arrive at the Earnest Thomas residence, 5112 - 55th Ave. S. Seattle, WA 98118 no later than, June 24, 2016.

Personally delivered artwork must be delivered to the Earnest Thomas residence 5112 - 55th Ave. S. Seattle, WA 98118 June 26, 2016 between 1PM and 4:30PM.

To Eastern Washington location -

Artwork must be delivered July 8, 2016 between 10AM and 12:00 noon to the Onyx representative at the Richland, Washington Public Library 955 - Northgate Dr. Richland, WA 99352.

* A celebratory artists reception is to be determined and will be communicated to the artists when known.

PICKUP OF UNSOLD ARTWORK:

At Western Washington location -

Artwork must be picked up at the Earnest Thomas residence, 5112 - 55th Ave. S. Seattle, WA 98118 on, August 28, 2016 between 1:00PM and 4:30PM.

At Eastern Washington location -

Artwork must be picked up from the Onyx representative August 27, 2016 between 10AM and 4:00PM at the Richland, Washington Public Library 955 - Northgate Dr. Richland, WA 99352.

TERMS OF ENTRY FOR ENTRANTS:

Onyx Fine Arts reserves the right to refuse any piece of unacceptable quality, unacceptable framing, incorrect size, or any piece that does not match the accepted digital image provided.

No changes will be made to the information entered with your application on or after the day of delivery.

Images of accepted work may be retained by Onyx Fine Arts. We assume permission to use accepted artwork for promotional uses only.

* All sells will be processed by Onyx and artists will receive 85% of sales proceeds after Onyx's commission. You will receive a full account of each sell made for you and all money due to you will be mailed within 30 days of the closing date to the address on your application.

* Please send, via email to [email protected], a one page artist statement as a word document to be placed in a information book about the artists for viewing by attending patrons.

LIABILITY:
Please be advised that every reasonable precaution will be taken during receipt, transportation, installation, exhibition and return of your artwork. Onyx Fine Arts, its board of directors and its volunteers assume no liability for loss or damage that may occur during these processes. All work should be of a substantial enough nature to withstand shipping and installation. WE ENCOURAGE ARTISTS TO CARRY THEIR OWN INSURANCE.

RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS:
By submitting this entry, YOU THE ARTIST, hereby release and forever discharge Onyx Fine Arts and all sponsoring organizations, their directors, officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any responsibility, personal liability, claims, loss or damage arising from, or in conjunction with my participation in the Onyx Fine Arts exhibition, beyond that already stated.
