STATEMENT ABOUT YOUR WORK
Provide a personal statement about your current work. Statement should include your:
art experience, educational goals, and other pertinent information about your work, yourself, and your vision for the future.

ARTWORK MAXIMUM SIZE
The Ojai Valley Museum has limited space for the selected student works. Students may submit ANY SIZE pieces in the application but only works (one to two depending on number of chosen pieces) that meet the following MAXIMUM dimensions will be chosen for the Museum exhibition.
2-Dimensional Work: 24'w, including frame.
3-Dimensional Work: Must fit pedestal sized 16' x 16' or take up no more than 4 square feet of the Ojai Valley Museum's floor space.

Provide dimension of each piece as follows: H' x W' x D' as applicable


DESCRIPTION OF EACH PIECE
Provide a one sentence explanation about concept, materials, or whatever you want us to understand better.


NAME YOUR JPG FILES
Your JPG file must be Artist's Last Name + Title. Example Miller_future2


COLOR PROFILE FOR YOUR JPGS
All images must be submitted in RGB color mode. You will NOT be able to upload images in CMYK.


HIGH RESOLUTION JPGS/ IMAGE UPLOAD
Submit JPG images sized approximately 4 inches wide x 6 inches long at 300 dpi resolution. In order to upload successfully, your image must be at least 1200 pixels wide. The maximum uploadable file size is 8 megabytes.

Good photography is important: Feature the work (nothing extraneous) and consider focus, color, contrast, lighting, etc.
Make sure each file entry is no greater than 8 MB in jpeg format. Example: if using a smart phone camera, choose 'large photo' option. If you have problems, talk to a teacher, another artist, or knowledgeable friend.


UPLOAD YOUR APPLICATION
After your file is uploaded, you will see your image and entered information. Keep adding files until you have submitted images of five (5) different works. Up to 3 additional images per piece MAY be submitted to show detail or additional views.
You may work on your application and return to finish. When done, hit the SUBMIT ENTRY button. By submitting, you verify that the work is yours.
Make sure you are satisfied with the information and images you have entered before logging out. This exact information is what will be used for the exhibition wall labels and publicity materials if you are accepted into the exhibition.


NOTIFICATION TO ARTISTS
Artists will be notified by Thursday, May 12, 2022. All artists who have completed a submission will be notified by email. If you do not receive notice by May 14, please check your email spam folder. Also make sure your current email address matches the email address you input into Entrythingy. Contact us if you do not receive any notification.


IMPORTANT:
You are now done with the online entry; continue with TEACHER RECOMMENDATION process.

Teachers are to fill out the simple online form and submit electronically. We prefer both recommendations be from art teachers, but in the case of high school students or special situations, one of these may be from an instructor in another subject.
