Mind Warp: A Halloween Sci-Fi Art Experience

Eligibility
Open to artists ages 13+ (teens, college students, emerging and established artists welcome)
Artists may reside in San Diego or beyond
Both solo and collaborative submissions accepted

Accepted Media
Only 2D artworks will be accepted:
Paintings
Drawings / Illustrations
Photography
Mixed-media (on 2D surfaces such as canvas, paper, or board)

Not Accepted: digital media installations, sculpture, video, or large-scale immersive works.
Entry Fee
$10 per entry
Artists may submit up to 3 works


Important Dates
Entry Deadline: September 15, 2025
Notification of Acceptance: September 20, 2025
Artwork Drop-Off: September 27-30, 2025 (details provided upon acceptance)
Exhibition Date: October 3, 2025 - First Friday at Liberty Station


Selection Criteria
Submissions will be reviewed by a jury of curators and MGB staff. Evaluation will be based on:
Creativity & Originality (30%)
Theme Relevance (25%)
Artistic Execution (25%)
Emotional Impact (20%)
