MEDSTAR OLNEY CARDIOLOGY ASSOCIATES

Registration deadline is Sunday, October 30, midnight.

Other key dates:

Delivery to Medstar Olney: November 7,2016 at 10:00 AM
Show End: May 8,2017 at 10:00 AM

DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS SHOW UNLESS YOU CAN SUPPORT THE DATES ABOVE. We do new shows every 6 months.

The show will be hung by the staff at MEDSTAR so there is no need for artists to remain after delivery. If you are selected, you will be contacted by the show coordinator regarding the details of the delivery.

Since this is a private office, there is NO RECEPTION associated with the show.

Finally, pickup your work, or have it picked up by someone else, at the close of the show on May 8, 2017.

IF YOU CANNOT FULLY SUPPORT THESE DATES, THEN WAIT FOR A FUTURE SHOW.

But if you can meet these schedule requirements, register. The show is open to the first 3-4 registered artists. Maximum of four pieces per artist.

There is no entry fee and no commission is taken.

All sales are handled between the customer and the artist. A list of paintings with prices will be placed in the office.

The display area for the exhibit is a corridor that is open to the Cardiology Associates waiting area on two sides. The show space can handle pieces of different sizes, but it is particularly fitting for larger-scale pieces.

All artwork must be professionally presented with frames or finished sides and have wires for hanging. The name of the artist and the title of the piece must be indicated on the back of each painting so that MedStar staff can place the labels for each piece appropriately.

Because of weight concerns and safety issues, no pieces larger than 11 x 14 can be accepted if they use glass as part of the framing. Use plexiglass (plastic) instead.

Paintings should not depict the nude figure.

You do not need to submit a photograph of your pieces, but please enter your title, the media used, and the price as you register your pieces. Please capitalize the first letter of each significant word in the title and media, and price should be entered with a $ and no cents ($225).

You will also be asked for 'dimensions'. In this space, place your email address so that potential buyers will know how to contact you.

Using the facilities of the MAA website, labels will be produced for each registered piece. These labels will not include a price, but will include the artist name, piece title, and the contact email entered in the 'dimension' space as described above.

A list of the pieces including contact information and prices will be left with the office staff so that they can let potential buyers know if asked.

If a sale occurs, the selling artist will be allowed to place an additional piece to replace the sold item for the remainder of the show.

Questions should be directed to the show coordinator, Michael Shibley at [email protected]
