2026 MWCA Regional Juried Show: “Off The Wall”
Artist Application – Terms & Conditions
1. Security & Liability
Reasonable security will be provided for the duration of the exhibition. MWCA staff and volunteers will exercise care in the handling, hanging, and displaying of all artwork. However, MWCA is not responsible or liable for any loss, theft, or damage to artwork while on MWCA premises, during transport, or during installation or deinstallation.
Artwork left more than 30 days after the closing date of the exhibition will be considered abandoned and will become the property of MWCA.
2. Eligibility & Requirements
MWCA reserves the right to refuse any artwork that does not meet the specifications below. All accepted artwork must remain on display for the full duration of the exhibition.
2.1 Originality
All submitted work must be original, created entirely by the artist, and not previously exhibited at MWCA.
Works created during workshops or classes are not permitted.
Works created in Open Studios are acceptable.
Works must not have been previously shown at MWCA or any Beyond the Gallery exhibitions.
2.2 Fiber Arts
Works created from general patterns or directions for knitting, weaving, macramé, quilting, rug hooking, etc. are permitted.
Works created from kits are not permitted.
All fiber works must be ready to hang, with all necessary hardware provided.
Maximum size: 42" x 80" (including hardware), unless the piece can be folded.
2.3 Hanging & Presentation Requirements
All 2D work must be delivered ready to hang.
All flat work *must* have a wire on the back. Sawtooth hangers are not allowed.
Exception: Photography printed on metal may use sawtooth or other easy‑to‑hang hardware.
Maximum framed size for 2D work: 40" x 40".
Work must be securely framed; pieces not secured in their frames will not be hung.
Maximum weight: 50 lbs, including mounting hardware or armature.
Non‑framed canvases must have painted edges and a wire attached to the back frame.
All paint must be completely dry.
Charcoal and pastel works must be fixed.
Sculpture must be sturdy, stable, and able to stand on its own.
3. Sales & Commission
MWCA retains a 28% commission on all sales made during the exhibition. Artists should price their work accordingly.
MWCA strongly encourages artists to submit work that is available for sale. The number of “Not for Sale” (NFS) works accepted into the final exhibition is limited to approximately 10% of total works.
4. Exhibition Duration & Artwork Pickup
All accepted works must remain in the exhibition for its full duration.
Artwork not picked up by the designated pickup deadline will be considered property of MWCA, unless prior arrangements have been made in writing. Contact the Gallery Chair, Jennifer Dominy at

5. Categories & Definitions
2D: Flat works including painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, printmaking, etc.
3D: Pottery, sculpture, wood turning, fiber sculpture, and other dimensional works.
6. Awards
Awards will be given in both 2D and 3D categories:
1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Additionally:
Best in Show — $300 award
People’s Choice Award - gift card
7. Agreement
By submitting an entry to the 2026 MWCA Regional Juried Show “Off The Wall,” the artist acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by all Terms & Conditions stated above.
