In a time when women's rights are being denigrated, women's health and bodies are being threatened, and women's pay is still inequal, it is important to remember the strength of the suffrage movement that established women's right to vote. Honor and recognize the centennial of the 19th Amendment that was ratified on August 18, 1920. Commemorate this pivotal moment in women's rights with art. Depict your message through paint, print, text, metal, clay, mixed media, glass, fiber, paper, photo, video, or performance. 2-D, 3-D, and computer based works accepted. Framed works must be gallery ready to hang--no sawtooth hangers accepted. Work need not be for sale. However, artists are encouraged to submit art for sale. This call is open to artists 18+.

2- AND 3-DIMENSIONAL ART:
-File format: JPG, PNG, GIF
-Number of pieces: Submit 3 jpg images of work.
-Actual size of work: There is no size restriction. No ceiling hung work. No sawtooth hangers.
-File dimensions: 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side.
-File size: under 5 MB
-Detail of the images: may include a detail of work.

PERFORMANCE ARTISTS:
-File format: see below
-Provide a written description by submitting a DOC or PDF describing the performance, including up to 3 JPG images if available.
-Video files accepted, if applicable: MOV, MP4, WMV
-If your performance has been documented to online video, you may include a web page link to the performance, such as YouTube or Vimeo.

WRITTEN WORD ARTISTS:
-File format: PDF
-Submit no more than 3 written pieces.
-Indicate in the 'Description of work' if you are willing to share your work during the opening night reception, and how you intend the work to be displayed (ie, book format, framed wall piece, etc.). No sawtooth hangers or ceiling hung work.
-There is no limitation on the length of work that is to be available during the exhibition; some limitation on the length of reading time may apply during the opening reception.

VIDEO ARTISTS:
-File format: MOV, MP4, WMV
-File size: under 100 mb
-Number of pieces: 3 entries may be submitted.
-Length restriction: None
-Artist may supply a web page link, such as YouTube or Vimeo. Submit an image from your piece for print media publicity (JPG, PNG, GIF) 300 dpi.

NOTE TO ALL ARTISTS: Work requiring the use of electronic equipment (such as DVD players, projectors, and/or computers, or components needed for special installations,) this equipment must be provided by the artist.

You may be asked to resubmit your entry if the exhibition committee has trouble viewing your submission.
