International Open Call for a Virtual Group Exhibition

Contempora returns for its fourth edition, reaffirming the role of creative expression as a driving force for evolution and change. A continuously evolving exhibition project, it adapts to the fluid ground of the present, where time becomes a living material for artistic research.
The 2026 edition is conceived as an open invitation to emerging and established artists to engage with the complexity of the contemporary through free languages and practices. Both theme and technique are open, with the aim of highlighting works that reflect and interpret the spirit of our time.
Selected works will be exhibited within the digital spaces of Muvi Roma, a three-dimensional online museum accessible via PC, smartphone, and tablet. Each year, it welcomes thousands of visitors from around the world, transforming the virtual environment into a space for encounter and exchange among artists, professionals, and audiences.

– Application deadline: May 5, 2026
– Participation in the selection process: free of charge
– Exhibition fee (only for selected artists): €20
– Theme: open
– Technique: open
– Exhibition duration: 30 days
– Virtual vernissage: scheduled for May 16, 2026 (official date and time will be confirmed after the selection process)
What participation in the exhibition includes
– Exhibition of 2 artworks per artist within the virtual exhibition path
– Design and production of a high-resolution digital poster
– Creation of an official exhibition catalogue in PDF format
– Professional distribution of the catalogue as an ebook on major online bookstores
– Press office and communication activities, including press releases and advertising campaigns
– Dedicated social media promotion and pre-event presentation trailer
– Production of an HD video of the exhibition, published on YouTube (download available upon request)
– Access to over 200 high-resolution images of the virtual exhibition setup
– International visibility, with thousands of weekly visitors
– Inclusion of the exhibition in the Make Art Gallery Contemporary Artists Archive
– Issuance of a digital certificate of artistic merit (printable)
Awards and recognitions
– 1 online solo exhibition lasting 30 days (value €550), including full curatorial services
