We are Love 4 Immigrants, a volunteer run initiative planning to become an arts movement and nonprofit whose mission is to connect immigrants to their communities, as respected, loved, and heard individuals by sharing their narrative through art and storytelling.
Key Message
Change the rhetoric/narrative to include stories highlighting immigrants contributions while portraying them with humanity and dignity.
We are having an art exhibition titled:
Love 4 Immigrants' Un-Weaved Stories
Theme for artwork:
Family + Storytelling + Weaving Memories
A weaving of family memories connecting diverse memories so our audience can see our common humanity and to continue building solidarity.
Family memories write the story of our collective consciousness. If we connect through stories we can create the fabric of union and love. This fabric has the power to change paradigms and we can learn to unlearn what stops us from being empathetic. Telling your story of immigrating to a new country can be the fiber we need for healing to transition to a state of hope and strength.
Date: Virtual Opening: August 28th (open for 2-3 weeks)
Location: Virtual: Occupy White Wall game & Website love4immigrants.org
