LELA International invites artists to submit work for the upcoming juried exhibition, From Roots to Wings, to be held at the Los Angeles Makery. We come together to celebrate growth, resilience and transformation in the present moment. This exhibition features artists whose work explores the journeys that shape us?our origins, our struggles and the visions that carry us forward, inviting viewers to reflect on the power of the junction between where we come from and who we become. From Roots to Wings honors the strength of community, the beauty of evolution and the boundless possibilities from being together in this present moment.
Important Dates:
Submission deadline: February 13th
Notification results: February 20th
Drop-off: Sunday, March 1, 12?1 PM
Opening Reception: Sunday, March 7th, 2 to 5
Workshop: Sunday, Sunday, March 15th, 2 to 5
Closing Reception: Sunday, March 29th, 2 to 5
Entry fee is $38 for paid LELA members, $48 for non-members. Artists may submit up to 3 images for consideration. All media will be considered except video. Maximum size for artwork is 36 inches in all dimensions.
Please note that all work must be hand delivered by artists or their representative to the Gallery on, Sunday March 1st between the hours of 12 pm and 1 pm. We have no facilities for accepting shipped work, nor can we return work that is not picked up. We welcome artists from outside the SoCal area, as long as pickup and return have been pre-arranged.
Commission Schedule: 25% of any sale price will go to LELA and 75% to the artist. The artist agrees to coordinate with the purchaser the pick up or delivery of any sold art at the artist's or seller's expense.
