LELA INTERNATIONAL 44TH ANNUAL PEACE EXHIBITION A BRIDGE FOR PEACE

August 6, is the anniversary of the Hiroshima atomic bomb, and August 9 the bombing of Nagasaki. As an international collaborative organization of artists from East and West, LELA has hosted a commemorative exhibition at the Nagasaki Peace Museum for 43 years. This year, our 44th Annual Exhibition, A Bridge for Peace, will be held in Little Tokyo, at the Makery Gallery. Entry fee is $35 for paid LELA members, $45 for non-paid members. We invite artists to submit up to 3 images consistent with the theme and ethos for consideration. All media will be considered, although video entries must be set up by the artist with their own equipment, and fit within the size restrictions. Maximum size for artwork is 24 inches in all dimensions.
Please note that all work must be hand delivered to the Gallery on Tuesday, August 1 between the hours of 12 pm and 3 pm. We have no facilities for accepting shipped work, nor can we return work that is not picked up. We welcome artists from outside the SoCal area, as long as pickup and return have been arranged.
