2017 Regional Juried Watercolor Exhibition

Eligibility: Artists 18 years or older residing in ID, WA, OR or MT may enter.

Specifications: Your entry(s) must be original work by you, and not produced in a class or workshop. Entry must be completed within the last two years. Photo reference material must not have been taken by anyone other than you, the entrant. Purchased images or permission granted photos are not allowed. All work must be watercolor on paper or paper-like support. Collage elements must be painted by the artist with watercolor. Accents of gouache or pencil may make up less than 10% of the whole. Classwork or work executed with the advice of an instructor or tutor is prohibited. Source material must be wholly original and not derived from any published images.

Size Limits:
Image size: No less than 10 inches on the shortest side.
Frame Size: No more than 44 inches in any direction.

Entry Fees (non-refundable):
Entry fee is payable by check to LCSC CAH, PayPal, or CC. Each artist may submit up to three entries. The entry fee is $35 for one image and $10 for each additional image.

Accepted Entries:
All artists will be notified by e-mail on May 12, 2017. Full instructions for shipping or hand delivery will be attached to the acceptance e-mail. All accepted paintings requiring return shipment will require a pre-paid shipping label. Accepted work must match submitted image; paintings not consistent with submitted image may be disqualified. All accepted paintings will be represented in the catalog if received by May 22, 2017. Each exhibition entrant will receive a complimentary catalog. The juror's decision is final.

Framing:
All paintings must be framed in simple sturdy frames, ready for hanging with wire, and protected under Plexiglas. Mats must be white or off-white with 2 inches minimum mat size. 1/4' colored liner mats are acceptable. Additional information will be mailed to accepted artists.

Sales:
PAINTINGS MUST BE FOR SALE. No price changes will be accepted. The Center will handle all painting sales and retain a 30% commission on sales.

Conditions and Liabilities:
No work may be withdrawn before the end of the exhibit. The Center for Arts & History and PWS reserve the right to photograph artwork or copy images for promotional purposes only. Insurance coverage is the artist's sole responsibility, both in transit and during the exhibit. The submission of entries to this competition shall constitute an agreement by the artist to the terms and conditions set forth in this prospectus.
