ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences (LBIF) encourages emerging artists as well as those with established reputations to participate in the National Juried Competition: The 3d Print. The purpose of the exhibition is to showcase contemporary works of art made using 3d printing technology that reflect innovative use of the medium, technical excellence, and personal vision.
AWARDS:
Cash awards will be announced at the exhibition's reception.
Best in Show - $500
Second Place - $250
Third Place - $100
Honorable Mention (2) - $50
Note: Artists who win a prize and are not in attendance at the opening reception will receive their checks by mail.
ABOUT THE LBIF
The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences (LBIF) was established in 1948 as a non-profit institution by artist Boris Blai to provide arts and educational opportunities to the surrounding communities. Blai, a sculptor and founding Dean of Tyler School of Art, Temple University, vision that through exceptional art exhibitions, classes, and cultural activities, the LBIF could provide visitors with opportunities to share and experience quality arts and cultural programming. For more than sixty five years, The LBIF has instituted exhibitions, visiting artist programs, and an Artist Residency and Retreat Program that brings contemporary artists to its 13 studios and galleries.
