Do you love comic books, superheroes, or anime? Then this month's exhibition is for you!

Las Laguna Gallery is now accepting submissions of artwork comprised of or inspired by Comics, Anime and Animations.

There are no restrictions on content, style, medium or context, but your entries should fit this theme, either traditionally or digitally, in some way.

We invite and encourage artists of ALL ages to participate and look forward to seeing your work.

All local, national, and international artists, professional and amateur, are encouraged to submit their works for this art exhibition.

Acceptable sizes: We do not have a limitation on size of works submitted but have found pieces over 48" to be costly for shipping and recommend manageable sized pieces.

ELIGIBILITY
Any Artists - Local, National or International

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION
Works must be submitted online by March 3rd, 2018, 11:59PM in your time zone to be considered.

NAMING YOUR JPG FILES
Your files must be named as: First name Last name_Title of the piece_Medium_Height x Width In Inches.jpg making sure that underscores go between your name and the name of the piece (i.e. JeffKoons_BalloonDog_OilOnCanvas_32x48.jpg).

COLOR PROFILE FOR YOUR JPGS
All images must be submitted in RGB color mode. You will NOT be able to upload images in CMYK.

HIGH RESOLUTION JPGS
Submit JPG images sized approximately 1024 x 768 at 72 pixels/inch. Background - Black. Save image as BASELINE standard JPEG. Do not save as a progressive JPEG. In order to upload successfully, your image must be at least 1024 pixels wide. The maximum uploadable file size is 3 megabytes.

High resolution images are requested for print publicity of accepted works. Works displayed online will be reduced to web-standard low resolution.

NON-REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE
Payment of $35 per entry. An entry consists of one image. Each additional entry is $5. The maximum number of entries accepted is 15. Credit Card payment through Paypal only. You do not need to have a Paypal account to pay through Paypal. Please turn on cookies to check out.

PROOFREAD YOUR ENTRY
The information you type into the online system will be used into our database. Please ensure that the information you submit is correct. Please double-check for typos.

Your entry is not complete until you have made your payment through PayPal. You do not have to have an account with PayPal to pay your entry fee.

Be sure to upload all your images before going to PayPal. You cannot return to add more information.

YOUR NAME
If you use your middle name or initial along with your first name, please include it in the space allocated for your first name. For example, First Name Field would be Jane Q. and Last Name Field would be Doe.

PUNCTUATION
Please do not use double quotation marks, colons or semi-colons. You may use single quotation marks if you need to use quotation marks.

FORMATTING
Please do not use ALL CAPS. Please do not use all lower case letters. This presents a problem if you get selected and we make name tags for the gallery wall. It also presents a problem when advertising for the show.

MEDIA
Please only submit original artworks created through the media of painting, drawing, photo, printmaking, ceramics, assemblage, collage, mixed media, fiber art, and/or digital art.

MEDIA NOT ACCEPTED
Our exhibition cannot accept jewelry, video, installations, performance art, and/or works requiring an external electrical source at this time.

ARTWORK MAXIMUM SIZE
Height 4 feet, Width 4 feet, including frame.

MAXIMUM SHIPMENT WEIGHT
The total weight of your work, including packing materials and crate, may not exceed 45 pounds.

DIMENSIONS
Please provide dimension of each piece as follows: Height x Width x Depth. Indicate whether inches or feet.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Please provide a statement about the specific work(s) you are submitting and how your work relates to the theme of 'Male-Man.' Description limited to 500 characters.

Make sure you are pleased with the information and images you have entered before logging out. This exact information is what will be used for the exhibition catalog, wall labels and publicity materials if you are accepted into the exhibition.

SELECTION OF WORK
Works selected for the show that will be on display at the Las Laguna Gallery.

NOTIFICATION TO ARTISTS
Artists will be notified by April 15, 2014. All artists who have completed a submission will be notified by email. If you do not receive notice by April 16, please check your email spam folder. Contact us if you do not receive notification.

This agreement (the “Agreement”) is hereby entered by and between LAS LAGUNA GALLERY and the undersigned (“ARTIST”). In exchange for the presentation of my artwork in a gallery or online, I hereby agree to the following:

1. Las Laguna Gallery will exhibit my artwork(s) either at an exhibition at the LAS LAGUNA GALLERY located in Orange County or online on the LAS LAGUNA GALLERY webpage (www.laslagunagallery.com).

2. The artwork(s) exhibited and/or represented by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY pursuant to this Agreement are hereinafter collectively referred to as the “ARTWORK” and refers to those artworks submitted by ARTIST to LAS LAGUNA GALLERY and accepted by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY FOR exhibition.

3. In exchange for LAS LAGUNA GALLERYS’ exhibition of ARTIST’S Work, ARTIST grants LAS LAGUNA GALLERY the right to represent ARTIST in the subsequent sale of the “ARTWORK” by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY.

4. TERM: The term of this Agreement begins when ARTIST’S “WORK” is submitted to LAS LAGUNA GALLERY for exhibition. Submission can be completed either electronically by pressing the “submit” button on a winning Artist Statement Form or by any other means. Upon mutual agreement between LAS LAGUNA GALLERY and ARTIST, any “ARTWORK” that ARTIST has created but which is not exhibited by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY may also become “ARTWORK” to be represented by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.

5. If any Buyer is introduced to ARTIST’S “ARTWORK” through LAS LAGUNA GALLERY, any eventual sale resulting from that introduction shall be subject to the terms of this Agreement.

6. COMMISSION: The following commission/payment terms will apply to each subject “ARTWORK” sold by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY: 65% (payment to ARTIST), 35% (commission to LAS LAGUNA GALLERY.
By signing this document, ARTIST agrees to each stipulation as outlined in this Agreement.

7. ARTIST retains ownership of all “ARTWORK” represented by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY until such “ARTWORK” is sold pursuant to the terms of this Agreement or otherwise. ARTIST retains copyright to all consigned artwork in perpetuity, as governed by law. LAS LAGUNA GALLERY shall take steps necessary to insure that the Artist's notice of copyright is projected and included in all documentation.

8. Retail sales price for each “ARTWORK” will be established by the ARTIST. ARTIST is to include gallery commission in the price.

9. LAS LAGUNA GALLERY will exert all reasonable efforts to close sales of represented “ARTWORK”. ARTIST agrees to provide LAS LAGUNA GALLERY, in a timely fashion and upon request, with any necessary documents or information in support of sales.

10. LAS LAGUNA GALLERY reserves the right to determine the terms of payment (cash, bank card, deferred or installment). For cash or bank card sale, the Gallery shall pay the Artist all proceeds due the Artist within thirty (30) days of sale. If LAS LAGUNA GALLERY accepts installment payment sales, ARTIST agrees to accept partial payments as received by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY. “ARTWORK” will not be released by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY to Buyer until full payment is received.

11. ARTIST will maintain insurance for damage/fire/vandalism/theft, and affirms that all “ARTWORK” will be covered by said insurance while in LAS LAGUNA GALLERIES’ possession. In no event shall LAS LAGUNA GALLERY be liable for any injury, loss, damage, theft or disappearance of or to property. All reasonable efforts will be made by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY to protect artwork from accidental damage or breakage. Insurance liability for accidental damage or breakage is not provided by LAS LAGUNA GALLERY.

12. MODIFICATIONS: All modifications of this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between LAS LAGUNA GALLERY and ARTIST.

13. PROMOTION: All entrants grant Las Laguna Gallery the right to use or publish images of their work to promote the art exhibits, future call for entries, videos, or the art galleries. Selected entries may be included in an online gallery, Facebook Page, Google+ page, ArtSlant Page, blog or other social media sites for the purpose of promoting shows.
