rot : bodies in transit

Description

The purpose of this showing is to explore rot in its many forms. In this exploration we align ourselves with the Fall and Winter season, this moment which heralds reduction and rest. At all times we are bound up in this world's rot. We are slowly digested as we move through this world and are brought back to it, bit by bit. There is an allotment of time that we get to live and within this time there is boundless potential energy. To be rotting is not only to be dying, but to be bursting with life. Causality may bind us, entropy may break us, but our mark on the world remains. By focusing on our eventual decay, by seeing different bodies through their decline, we can better appreciate the life those bodies have.
