America in 250: The Future of Transportation

Official Rules & Terms and Conditions

No Purchase Necessary. No purchase, payment or entry fee is required. The contest is sponsored by Gebruder Weiss, Inc., 1020 N. Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale, IL 60191 ("Sponsor") and is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or administered by America250, the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, or any agency or entity of the United States federal government. Void where prohibited.

Eligibility & Entry Period. The contest is open to U.S. residents, including Gebrüder Weiss employees and their family members. Entrants under 18 require parent/legal guardian consent. One entry per person. Entries must be submitted through the official contest platform between 8 a.m. CDT Sept. 8, 2026, and 11:59 p.m. CDT Oct. 20, 2026. Sponsor may verify eligibility and disqualify incomplete, late or noncompliant entries.

Artwork Requirements. Entries must be original visual works created by the entrant and interpret the theme: What will logistics, transportation and supply chains look like 250 years from now? Eligible formats include painting, drawing, illustration, graphic design, photography, collage, mixed media, 3D rendering and other original visual art. Entries must comply with published technical requirements and should not contain signatures, watermarks or identifying information.

Artificial Intelligence Is Prohibited. Generative AI, AI image-generation tools, AI-assisted design tools and AI-generated source material may not be used to create or materially alter any portion of an entry. Standard non-generative tools may be used for cropping, resizing, scanning, color correction and file preparation. Sponsor may disqualify an entry, including after winner selection, for violation of this requirement.

Originality & Content. Entrants represent that their submission is their original work; they own or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions; and the work does not violate any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other third-party right. Entries may not contain unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit or inappropriate content, commercial solicitation or unauthorized copyrighted or branded material. Sponsor determines eligibility and compliance in its sole discretion.

Judging & Winners. Entries will be blind judged based on creativity and originality, interpretation of the theme, artistic/design merit, and innovation and vision. Judges will not receive identifying information about entrants. Sponsor may resolve ties and address conflicts of interest. Failure to respond may result in selection of an alternate winner. Prizes and recognition are described on the contest website.

Ownership & Use. Entrants retain ownership and copyright of their artwork. By entering, entrants grant Sponsor a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce and display submissions for contest administration, judging and promotion. Finalists and winners may be required to grant Sponsor a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and license to reproduce, publish, display, distribute, resize, crop and use their work in connection with America in 250 activities, exhibitions, PR, social media, marketing, communications and archival purposes. Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to credit the artist.

Publicity, Privacy & Sponsor Rights. Where permitted by law, winners may authorize Sponsor to use their name, city/state, likeness, biography, and artwork for contest-related publicity without additional compensation. Parent/guardian authorization applies to minors. Sponsor may disqualify entrants for rule violations, false information, prohibited AI use, infringement, or misconduct and may modify, or cancel the contest if circumstances beyond its reasonable control compromise its administration or fairness.

Release, Liability & Indemnification. To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants, and parents/guardians of minors, release and hold harmless Sponsor and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, contractors and representatives from claims, losses, damages or liabilities arising from participation, submissions, prizes, technical failures. Entrants are responsible for their submissions and agree to indemnify Sponsor against claims, costs, damages and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from violation of these Rules, applicable law, third-party rights or entrant representations. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, or unsuccessful submissions or technical, website, platform or communication failures.

Governing Law & Acceptance. Illinois law governs these Rules and disputes, which shall be resolved in the appropriate courts in DuPage County, Illinois, except where prohibited. Submission of an entry confirms acceptance of these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions.

Required Entry Certification: I have read and agree to the Official Rules. I certify that my submission is my original work, that I have all necessary rights and permissions, and that no prohibited artificial intelligence was used in its creation. Parent/guardian consent is required for minors.
