DEADLINE
Monday, Sept. 7

THEME: MY MICHIGAN: Our rivers, our lakes. Artists are asked to prove the truth behind the slogan, "Water Wonderland" that was coined in 1963.

JUROR: Alex Gilford, artist and park ranger noted for his efforts to strengthen the relationship between the arts and nature.
Timeline:

Notification: Friday, Sept. 11
Intake: Noon - 2:30 pm, Saturday, Sept. 26
Gallery Talk: 6:30 pm, Thursday, Oct. 1
Pick-up: 10 am - noon, Saturday, Dec. 5

REMINDERS FROM THE EXHIBITION COMMITTEE:
The exhibition committee reminds artists that the descriptions of their pieces are very important to the juror. The sizes of your pieces are important to the committee when planning the layout of the exhibition. Please indicate height by width in inches for 2D entries and height by width by depth in inches for 3D pieces.

Also for the safety of your piece, please have your 2D piece framed and ready to hang. If your piece requires special attention for display, please indicate that so the committee can plan ahead.

ELIGIBILITY
Participation is open to all artists over 18 and alumni of the Grosse Pointe Artists Association Promising Artists exhibitions. Artwork must be original. Work completed under an instructor is not eligible. Commercial kits, prefabricated models and hobby crafts are not eligible. Final acceptance is dependent on available space. The Grosse Pointe Artists Association, GPAA, reserves the right to disqualify any artwork submitted. There is no specific size limitations, however, gallery space will be considered. Large installation pieces and pieces previously exhibited with GPAA are not eligible.

ENTRY FEES
The entry fee for the first two pieces is $30 for members; $40 for non-members. Up to four additional pieces may be submitted at $10 each. (A $3.00 transaction fee will be added.) Entry fees are non-negotiable and non-refundable.

IMAGE SUBMISSIONS
Submitted images must reasonably show the nature and quality of the original art piece. Art pieces should be evenly lit without reflections when photographed. Your submitted image must be a jpg file that is at least 600x600 pixels.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Entries must be in by midnight on Monday, Sept.7

NOTIFICATION
Artists will be notified of acceptance via the email they have submitted. Results will be emailed by Friday, Sept. 11. Results are automatically generated. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A NOTICE BY SEPTEMBER 11.

ACCEPTED WORK
Artwork must arrive at GPAA's exhibit space at The War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Dr., Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, 48236 noon - 2:30 pm on Saturday, Sept. 26. If mailed please include a prepaid return address label. Accepted pieces must be mounted and framed in a professional manner and properly wired for hanging. Clip-on and poster frames are not acceptable. Artists are responsible for any special hardware.

LIABILITY
Entries will be handled with all possible care; however, GPAA is not responsible for loss or damage.

GALLERY SALES
Not all artwork must be priced to sell. If it is priced to sell and sells, the Grosse Pointe Artists Association retains a 35% commission on the sale of member artwork; 45% on the sale of non-member artwork.
