THEME: Here's Me
Entrants are asked to use art to tell stories about their personal experiences, background, ideas and beliefs.
JUROR: Arts educator and award-winning artist, Craig Paul Nowak is known for painting deeply personal portraiture and making life-cast ceramic faces. He teaches at the College for Creative Studies in the Foundations Department and provides arts mentoring and collector consultation through his company, Sapien Sanctum Inc. As the former manager for the Creative Expressions Program at Gesher Human Services in Southfield, Nowak helped adults with disabilities hone their artistic passions and develop careers within the arts.
REMINDERS FROM the EXHIBITION COMMITTEE:
The exhibition committee reminds artists that the descriptions of their pieces are very important to the juror. The sizes of your pieces are important to the committee when planning the layout of the exhibition. Please indicate width by height in inches for 2D entries and width by height by depth in inches for 3D pieces.
Also for the safety of your piece, please have your 2D piece framed and ready to hang. If your piece requires special attention for display, please indicate that so the committee can plan ahead.
