PURPOSE/THEME
This exhibition is part of GPAA's Promising Artists program designed to give current high school students and recent alumni of the program the opportunity to showcase their work and experience the process of participating in a professional, juried exhibition.

JUROR -- Antonina Salami is a junior art director at Sky Bird Travel & Tours, a fast paced global travel agency. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2017 and from College for Creative Studies in 2021. Her BFA is in art direction and design. “I love art in all forms and mediums. I love to dabble in anything that sparks my creativity,” Antonina explains.

ELIGIBILITY
Participation is open to all high school students and artists who have been involved in past Promising Artists Exhibitions. Artwork completed using commercial kits, prefabricated models and hobby crafts are not eligible. Final acceptance is dependent on the juror and the Grosse Pointe Artists Association. GPAA reserves the right to disqualify any artwork submitted. There is no specific size limitations; however, gallery space will be considered during the jury process. Large installation pieces are not eligible.

ENTRY FEES
Each student may enter up to 3 pieces. GPAA waives the entry fee of $43 for this show.

IMAGE SUBMISSIONS
Submitted images must reasonably show the nature and quality of the original art piece. Art pieces should be evenly lit without reflections when photographed. Submitted images must be jpg files that are at least 600x600 pixels.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Entries must be in by midnight on Monday, April 20.
JURY RESULTS
Artists will be notified of jury results via the email they have submitted. Results will be emailed by the end of day on Friday, April 24. Jury results are automatically generated. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A NOTICE BY Friday, April 24.

ACCEPTED WORK
Artwork must arrive at the Grosse Pointe Artists Association gallery on The War Memorial campus, 32 Lake Shore, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, 48236, 10 am - noon on Saturday, May 2. Accepted 2D pieces must be mounted and framed in a professional manner and properly wired for hanging. Clip-on and poster frames are not acceptable. Artists are responsible for any special hardware.

LIABILITY
Entries will be handled with all possible care; however, GPAA is not responsible for loss or damage. Because of limited storage, pieces must be picked up 10 am - noon on Saturday, May 30, unless special arrangements have been made.

GALLERY SALES
The artwork does not have to be for sale. If it is for sale, the purchaser will work directly with the artist.
