Enamel Guild North East proudly presents:
Under Fire 4: A Virtual Gallery of International Enamel Artists
CALL FOR ENTRIES:
In keeping with our mission to promote the art of vitreous enameling, the Enamel Guild North East is sponsoring an open call for original enamels from around the world. We seek works in a broad range of styles to highlight the various approaches to this demanding, ancient medium. Submissions may be in any category: jewelry, as well as wall pieces, 3-dimensional pieces, decorative, or utilitarian, as long as vitreous enamel is a major component of the piece and completed within the past 2 years. Work exhibited in Under Fire 3 may not be included in submissions. All works must be original and produced by the artist. A digital catalogue will also be available to download.
Three Jurors Choice Awards will be selected to receive:
1st award $300
2nd award $200
1st award $100
Jurors:
--Harlan Butt, acclaimed enamelist
--Jessica Calderwood, acclaimed enamelist
--Patti Bleicher, owner Ballery Loupe, acclaimed jewelry gallery
Sunday, October 23 at 7 pm, a virtual opening reception with panel discussion, What's Up With Enamels Today?, the three jurors will share their observations on contemporary enamels, while reflecting on the works submitted for review for Under Fire 4.
