Call for Enamelists
Under Fire 2, an Enamel Guild North East exhibition in conjunction with the Worcester Center for Crafts, will present a broad range of contemporary enamels including experimental approaches as well as traditional designs and techniques, highlighting the various applications and potential of the medium. Submissions may include jewelry as well as 2 & 3-dimensional pieces, decorative or utilitarian. This national exhibition will be presented at the Krikorian Gallery, Worcester Center for Crafts, Worcester, MA.
Additional perks:
A full-color catalogue will be published that will include at least one work by every accepted entrant. Each will receive a copy.
Three Jurors' Select Awards: $300-1st place; $200-2nd place; $100-3rd place
Entry requirements:
--All works must be original and produced by the artist. Works may be in any category: jewelry, wall pieces, sculpture, vessels or other, as long as vitreous enamel is a major component of the piece.
--Up to 5 pieces may be submitted with up to 3 additional views.
--Fees: $40 for EGNE members; $55 for non-members. *
* SPECIAL OFFER FOR NON-MEMBERS: Join EGNE at the same time as applying for this exhibition and receive a special discount: $70 for membership AND application fee (otherwise a $90 value, for a savings of $20).** Enjoy other member benefits year-round such as exclusive studio visits, discounts on workshops, placement in our on-line gallery, etc.

Under Fire 2 offers broad exposure for enamelists' works to be seen by 3 distinguished jurors:
--Aur?lie Guillaume, a young, up and coming enamelist whose fresh approach is already winning many awards, distinctions, and invitationals. www.aurelieguillaume.com
--Jan Harrell, a highly acclaimed enamelist, metalsmith, sculptor and educator whose thought-provoking objects are included in numerous collections and museums.
--Bella Neyman, an independent curator and writer specializing in contemporary art jewelry, a co-founder of the curatorial initiative Platforma, and co-founder of NYC Jewelry week in 2018.
