The Encaustic Art Institute proudly presents a Juried Encaustic/Wax Exhibition: 2020 (MMXX):Beginnings - What Will Your 20's Look Like? This is a national exhibition, open to all encaustic/wax artists whether they are a member of the Encaustic Art Institute or not. However, any artist who is a member of the Encaustic Art Institute and resides in Canada or Mexico is eligible to enter.
Entry fee for current EAI members: $25, $35 for non-members.
Artists may enter up to three images per entry for review.
Application dates from January 18 - March 29, 2020.
Only one (1) piece per artist may be selected for the exhibition. ALL WORK MUST BE FOR SALE.
Juror: KATHLEEN WATERLOO
THEME: 2020(MMXX):Beginnings - What Will Your 20s Look Like, is a no-theme exhibition, with a twist. We want a wonderful, diverse exhibit with encaustic/wax artists delving into the creative process with the idea of 'new beginnings'. What will your 20's look like? In 1920, women got the vote. What new beginnings will 2020 have in store for your creative efforts? You are encouraged to enter something that is your latest work, or even a special new work just for this exhibition.
The juror, Kathleen Waterloo, will make selections based on interpretation of the theme as well as the quality of the submitted entries.
