Calling all members! Detroit Artists Market you to submit works of all media formats to Hot DAM!. DAM’s annual all-media exhibition celebrates the diverse voices and creative practices that shape our community. This year’s call is juried by Gil Ashby, a visual artist and educator whose work explores Black humanity, cultural preservation, and the enduring influence of African American music. Beginning his artistic journey in 1968, Ashby set out to preserve the “Brown heroes” and cultural icons absent from the media of his youth.

What to know before you submit:
-There is a $10 non-refundable jury fee per entry for the Hot DAM! call for entry.
-Up to 3 artworks may be submitted in one entry; do not submit multiple entries.
-Submit using your preferred published artist name.
-An active DAM membership is required to exhibit; you may purchase or renew at checkout when submitting.
-Memberships are for artists living and working in Michigan.
-There is no price cap or size limit, but all work must be ready to display with hanging hardware.
