Detroit Artists Market invites DAM members and Michigan artists to submit works of all media formats to Hot DAM! the Detroit Artists Market Annual, juried by Dr. Kelli Morgan, Founding Executive Director of the Black Artists Archive. Dr. Kelli Morgan is widely known as a leader in progressive museum practice whose work develops and advances anti-racist approaches to art curation, fundraising, and community engagement She regularly trains staff and emerging curators at institutions worldwide. She is a leading and influential voice in championing museum practices that are safer for and more responsible to individuals and communities of color.
There is a non-refundable jury fee of $10 to participate in the Hot DAM! call for entry. You may submit up to 3 works inside of your one entry. Do not submit separate entries, as you will be charged a non-refundable $10 jury fee once per entry. Please enter using your preferred published artist name.
In order to be an exhibiting artist you must have an active membership. You may purchase a new membership or membership renewal by clicking on the membership box at checkout when you submit your entry. DAM is a regional gallery and memberships are for artists living and working in MI.
There is no size limit on works, but they must be ready for display and equipped with hanging hardware. DAM reserves the right to exclude accepted work from the exhibition if they are not ready to hang upon delivery to the gallery.
