Black and White - online photography contest

Organization: Decagon Gallery Location NY Entry Fee Paid Entry Deadline January 3, 2026 Exhibition Jan 20 - Mar 20, 2026
Decagon Gallery invites photographers worldwide to submit to Black and White, an online exhibition exploring the timeless power and beauty of monochrome photography.

Stripped of color, images are distilled to their purest elements?light and shadow, line and form, tone and texture. Black and white photography asks us to see differently, to find emotion and meaning in the subtleties of contrast and composition. Whether stark and dramatic or soft and poetic, these works remind us that simplicity can hold immense depth.

We welcome all approaches: traditional darkroom prints, digital black and white photography, toned or alternative processes, and experimental interpretations of the theme. Subject matter is open, from landscapes and portraits to abstractions and documentary work, as long as the work embraces the monochrome vision.

Awards:
First Place: $500 and a solo exhibition on our website.
Second Place: $200
