Eric A Arctander Artist Grant 2016

GENERAL SUBMISSION INFORMATION

1) Work submitted must have been created between 2011 and 2016.

2) Panelists are asked to evaluate work based on the materials submitted. Be careful and selective of the work you submit. Poor quality submission materials could affect the panel's evaluation.

Who can apply:

1) You must be 25 to 45 years old and would like financial support for your development as an artist.

2. The grant can be used for exploring materials, techniques and direction for your personal and professional, artistic development.

3) You must be a visual artist involved with one or more of the following areas: Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Mixed Media (2D) and (3D), Intallation Art and Sculpture.

4) You must be a resident of either Putnam, Dutchess or Westchester Counties in New York State.

Who cannot apply
1) Full time graduate or undergraduate students enrolled in any degree program.
2) Individuals who work for Putnam Arts Council and the Art Center, or who are recipients of any Dutchess, Putnam or Westchester Councils' awards in 2016 for individual artists

EVALUATION AND SELECTION OF AWARDS

Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: Artistic merit based on the quality of work submitted and on the applicant’s written intent to expand on their artistic development. The selection of the award will be decided by a panel of arts professionals. All materials and information involved in the selection process are kept confidential and are viewed by the panelists. Materials presented, not meeting the submission guidelines, will render an application ineligible.
