Artways of Orinda

The City of Orinda is seeking a qualified professional artist or artist team to design and implement public artwork at two prominent locations along Highway 24: the retaining walls beneath the Camino Pablo underpass and the pedestrian bridge over the westbound off-ramp into north Orinda. The selected artist or team will develop a coordinated vision for both sites that celebrates Orinda’s natural beauty, history, ecology, culture, and community identity while meeting Caltrans Transportation Art Program requirements. The work will include concept development, collaboration with City staff and the community, preparation of materials for City and Caltrans approval, final design, and oversight of fabrication and installation.
