Call For Photography: The Art of Abandonment

You may submit your work through EntryThingy or our website submission form. All entrants, by virtue of their submission, are attesting that the images submitted are their own work and there has been no copyright infringement of any artist, living or deceased.

All submissions must be original and completed by the artists hand. If work is part of a limited edition, please include the number of the edition.

Submissions and Acceptance

Approximately 35 images will be selected by the Curator, Director, and Juror(s) for exhibition in The Chateau's Online Gallery (TCG). Participants will be notified of their selection approximately 10 days after the deadline. Selected participants will also be listed on our website home and exhibition page. Accepted work will be hosted on TCGs website and promoted on social media throughout the scheduled programming. Submissions not selected for the exhibition are categorized into themes and stored for one year for consideration in future exhibitions. Please do not include your name, watermarks, or personal information.

Sales

Participants who have priced their work for sale will be contacted promptly regarding any purchase inquiry of their work. Participants will retain 70% from sales. TCG will retain 30% commission on any work sold through TCG and its agents. Artists will be responsible for fulfillment of sales and any additional costs. Participants may list their work Not for Sale (NFS). However, participants are encouraged to price their work.

Copyright and Usage Rights

The artist retains all rights to their work at all times. By submitting your work, you grant the gallery a limited license to use your images for promotional materials and/or promoting related programs and display on our website, social media and online exhibition archive. All selected work will be maintained in our online gallery archive. The artist's name and photo title will be included and they will receive attribution whenever possible. The exhibition and participating artists will be marketed and promoted extensively through our website, press release announcements, email marketing campaigns, online event calendars, and social media.

TCG’s mission is to use our platform to transcend borders and broadcast multi-faceted viewpoints through ideological, and photographic exchange. An entry fee of $20 is required and necessary to support our advertising campaigns, promotional materials, and various administrative costs. To promote inclusivity and diversity, we offer merit-based and hardship fee waivers to citizens of a nation in a state of war or unrest, and those living in a country with a low economic index. If you require assistance submitting your work, you are encouraged to contact us with a brief statement requesting a fee waiver.
