Ceres Gallery is 2000 sq ft. in the heart of the Chelsea artist district. Ceres, founded in 1983 is a non-profit alternative center dedicated to the promotion of contemporary artists. We embrace a diversity of artistic and political views. Entries in all media welcome.
Juror Sara Softness joined the Brooklyn Museum in 2016. She has contributed to exhibitions and initiatives such as “Philippe Parreno: My Room Is Another Fish Bowl;” “Infinite Blue;” The Avant Museology symposium; “The Legacy of Lynching: Confronting Racial Terror in America;” and “The Brooklyn Conference.” Most recently she organized the museum’s presentation of “Proof: Francisco Goya, Sergei Eisenstein, Robert Longo.” She also serves as a curatorial liaison for the Young Leadership Council. Previously she was curatorial associate at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and she has also held positions at The Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Artsy, and the Studio Museum in Harlem.
