Masterpiece In A Day- Art Fair

1. ELIGIBILITY: open to individual fine artists and master craftsmen presenting their own original work. No galleries, agents or anyone representing the artist will be eligible. The artist must be present to show his/her work.

2. CATEGORIES: Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Jewelry, Glass, Fiber, Wood, Photography, Mixed Media, Drawing, Other

3. STANDARDS: No manufactured items or kits. Prints must be limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist with the type of reproduction clearly labeled. 50% of booth must be signed, original work created by the artist. This applies to all categories. Artist will be asked to remove work that is in violation. Artists may not display work that is unlike the samples submitted for jurying.

4. PRICING OF WORK: Artists set their own prices and may discretely offer discounts to encourage sales, but NO SIGNAGE OFFERING DISCOUNTS may be displayed.

5. NOTIFICATION: Notification of acceptance, decline or wait-list status will be E-mailed (to the email address artist submits with application) no later than August 21, 2015.

6. BOOTH PAYMENT DEADLINE (upon invitation): August 28, 2015.

7. CANCELLATION: Cancellations received by EMAIL on or before Sept. 2, 2015 will receive a booth fee refund; but a $25 processing fee will be retained. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE for cancelations received AFTER SEPT. 2, 2015.

8. WAITLIST POLICY: If you are placed on the wait list, event staff will contact you if a space becomes available in your category. We do not disclose where you are on the wait list and are unable to predict when a cancellation may occur. WAITLISTED ARTISTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FAIR GROUNDS during setup. You will be instructed on when and how to enter fair grounds as an exhibitor only after organizers have received a cancellation and made contact to offer you a booth space. Any artist not respecting this policy will be asked to leave fair grounds and not be invited back under any circumstances. Your completed application constitutes your understanding and agreement with this policy.

9. PETS: Pets are NOT ALLOWED on the art festival grounds at any time. (Health Dept. Guidelines)

10. SECURITY: Corpus Christi Downtown Management District/Masterpiece in a Day assumes no liability for exhibitor’s property, including any damages caused by weather.

11. EXHIBITION SPACES are 10’x10’ single, 10’x20’ double. Spaces are assigned. Artists must use their own means of display. BRING YOUR OWN: tables, chairs, display equipment, and $CHANGE$. Tents are permitted but must be weighted with gallon water jugs or bags; staking into the pavement is not allowed.

12. SHARED BOOTHS must be arranged at the time of application ONLY. No shared booths are allowed after the jury process has completed and payment has been received for a single booth. Artists must be willing to assume total booth fees if desired booth partner is not juried into the festival. NO EXCEPTIONS.

13. A STATE OF TEXAS SALES TAX AND USE PERMIT must be displayed in your booth. Each artist is responsible for collecting Texas state sales tax (8.25%) and remitting the proceeds to the Texas State Comptroller. To obtain a permit, apply online, or call the Corpus Christi Field Office at (361) 882-1234. The permitting process is 2-3 weeks.

14. SET UP TIME: 7 to 9 am. Event and sales begins at 9:00 am. Details and schedule for setup will be emailed to artists 1 week before the event. You must remain set up until 9:00 pm.

15. CLEAN UP: Vendor tear down begins at 9:00 pm and must be completed by 10:00 pm. Please leave your space cleaner than you found it. Vendors who leave chairs, tables, boxes, food, bottles, and other trash behind will be banned from future participation.

16. SPREAD THE WORD! We encourage participating artists to advertise to their own customers via social media and emails to friends and customers.
