1. Event Description
The Juried Holiday Artisan Market is a one-day, curated market featuring handmade artisan goods. Participation is by application and acceptance only. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
2. Vendor Eligibility and Product Standards
The Vendor affirms that all items offered for sale are handmade by the Vendor or the Vendor’s small studio and are original in design. Resale, mass-produced, commercially manufactured, or imported goods are strictly prohibited unless explicitly approved in writing by the Camp.
Only items approved through the application and jury process may be sold. The Camp reserves the right to request removal of any non-approved items during the event. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.
3. Booth Space and Setup
Each Vendor will be assigned a booth space of approximately 8 by 10 feet or 10 by 10 feet. Booth placement is determined by the Camp and is final.
Vendors are responsible for providing their own tables, displays, coverings, and any other materials unless otherwise stated in writing. Vendors must remain within their assigned space and may not encroach upon walkways or neighboring booths.
Setup and breakdown times will be provided prior to the event. Early breakdown is not permitted without prior approval.
4. Fees and Payment
The booth fee is non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the Camp. Payment in full is required by the stated deadline to secure a vendor space. Failure to submit payment by the deadline may result in forfeiture of the space.
5. Electricity
Electricity is limited and available only if requested and approved in advance. Vendors using electricity must supply their own extension cords and comply with all safety requirements.
6. Food and Beverage Sales
The Camp reserves the exclusive right to sell food and beverages during the event unless otherwise approved in writing. Vendors may not sell food or beverage items without explicit permission and proof of applicable permits.
7. Conduct and Professional Standards
Vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times. Loud music, disruptive behavior, or inappropriate displays are not permitted.
The Camp reserves the right to remove any Vendor whose conduct is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with the mission or values of Camp St. Nicholas, without refund.
8. Liability and Insurance
The Vendor participates at their own risk and agrees to assume full responsibility for their booth, merchandise, and equipment.
The Vendor agrees to release and hold harmless Camp St. Nicholas, its staff, board members, and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses, or injuries arising from the Vendor’s participation in the event, including but not limited to personal injury, theft, or property damage.
Vendors are encouraged to carry their own general liability insurance.
9. Damage to Property
The Vendor is responsible for any damage caused to camp property, buildings, or grounds as a result of their participation. This includes damage caused by displays, equipment, or improper setup.
10. Weather and Force Majeure
This event may include outdoor components. The Vendor acknowledges that weather conditions are beyond the control of the Camp. The event will proceed rain or shine unless the Camp determines conditions are unsafe.
The Camp is not responsible for losses due to weather, natural disasters, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond its control.
11. Cancellation by Vendor
If the Vendor is unable to attend after acceptance, they must notify the Camp as soon as possible. Booth fees are non-refundable. The Camp may offer the space to a waitlisted vendor.
12. Cancellation by Camp
If the event is canceled by the Camp, booth fees will be refunded in full. The Camp will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred by the Vendor.
13. Marketing and Photography
The Vendor grants permission for the Camp to use photographs of the event, including images of the Vendor’s booth and products, for promotional and archival purposes.
