Confluence Art Gallery invites submissions for its Confluence of Expression: Wildlife Exhibition, an online juried art and photography exhibition.

For this exhibit, artists and photographers are encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of wildlife. Note for this exhibition wildlife is defined as animals not in enclosures dependent upon humans for food, water and shelter.

There are two categories for this exhibition. One category for artwork and a separate category for photography. Each category will have its own judges. If you plan to submit both art and photographs, please submit up to 5 art pieces under one entry and up to 5 photographs as a separate entry. This will aid the sponsors to send the art entries and photographic entries to the appropriate judges.

DATES AND DEADLINES:

Call for Artists Announced: June 16, 2017
Deadline for Entries: September 18, 2017
Artist Notification: October 6, 2017
Opening of Online Exhibition, October 15, through December 31, 2017
Opening of Exhibit at Green Door Art Gallery, November 8 through December 31,2017
A physical exhibition of the award winners will be held at Green Door Art Gallery in St. Louis from November 8, 2017 through December 31, 2017. Public artist reception will be held at Green Door Art Gallery on November 17, 2017, and on December 12th, there will be a Holiday Open House at the Gallery. Artwork and photography entries will be limited in size to 20X24 framed.

Cash awards will be given to the Best of Show winner as well as 1st and 2nd place winners for each category: art or photography.

Best of Show, $200 plus one year representation on Confluence Art Gallery website
1st Place, $100 plus one year representation on Confluence Art Gallery website
2nd Place, $50
Ribbons for 5 Honorable Mentions per category.

The Best in Show winner and 1st place winner will be the 'Featured Artists' on the Confluence Art Gallery website for one year and will have the opportunity to display, promote and sell a collection of their art through Confluence Art Gallery.

All accepted artworks will be on display online for the duration of the exhibition. The artists may choose to sell their accepted art through Confluence Art Gallery. Upon submission, artists may choose to price their artwork for sale or mark it Not For Sale (NFS).

A catalog of the exhibit will be available to order for $35 plus shipping. Information about ordering the catalog will be announced October 8, 2017 and you may order by October 21, 2017. Only the number of catalogs ordered and paid for by October 21, 2017 will be ordered. Catalogs will be delivered by November 15th.

All winners and accepted artists will receive extensive online publicity and promotion.

Depending on the number and quality of all submissions received, additional Honorable Mention and/or Special Recognition awards may be given.

ENTRY FEES: If you want to enter both Art and Photography into the Wildlife Exhibit you will need to enter each category separately. You may submit up to five pieces of art in one category and then up to five pieces of photography in the other entry.

There is a non-refundable entry fee of $25 for first two images.

You may ente additional images for a non-refundable fee of $15 each. A maximum of 5 images will be accepted per artist per category (2D Art or Photography).
