SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Thursday, August 20, 2025
* You may enter up to 7 artwork entries.
* Your artwork photos do not have to be professionally taken photos. But they need to be of adequate quality to provide a good representation of the artwork, so the jury can make their selections and accepted work can be posted to your artist page on the Valley Art Gallery website
* You can use a smart phone, iPad or tablet. Be sure that the art is well lit, there is no surface reflection and that it is focused. Ideally we would like JPG images that are a minimum of 1200 pixels wide. The maximum up-loadable file size is 5 megabytes.
* Please be sure to include titles, outside dimensions (including frame), media and price for each artwork.
* The description field is optional. You may use it to write a statement about the inspiration or story behind the piece. Should the piece be selected for the collection, this information will help in our marketing and social media efforts.
* If, over the last couple of months, you have emailed us images for your gallery website artist page and you want them to be considered for this gallery collection, please include them in your EntryThingy submission.
* Please do not click the SUBMIT button until you have uploaded ALL of your images and filled in all the artwork information. EntryThingy will save your submission until you are ready to SUBMIT it.
JURY RESULTS AND ART DROP OFF:
- - Between August 10 and August 30, please call the gallery 925.935.4311, during gallery hours of Tues.- Sat., 11 am - 5 pm to make your art drop off/pick up appointment.
- Appointments will be September 15 - 19
- You will receive an email on Saturday, August 29 letting you know which pieces to bring to the gallery for your appointment.
- At your appointment, you will drop off the selected artwork and pickup pieces from the current inventory that the jury has decided to return to you.
- Please be sure that your name and the title are on the back of each piece. Also securely place a painting label (sent via email through Mailchimp) to the back of each painting. You do not need to complete an inventory form.
PLEASE NOTE: No glass except for pastels. All works must be dry and ready to hang (no sawtooth hangers) and please tape the ends of the wires so hands will not be injured by sharp wires.
