Jazz Got Loose at The Gallery at the Attucks

Applicants must submit:
• Up to 3 artworks (high resolution images, 72 dpi minimum)
• Title, medium, dimensions, year, and brief description for each work
• Artist bio (max 250 words)
• Artist statement (max 300 words)

Calendar
Submission Deadline: September 10, 2026 (11:59 PM EDT)
Notification of Acceptance: Early September 2026
Artwork Drop Off: Late October 2026
Opening Celebration: Late October / Early November 2026
Exhibition Dates: October 29, 2026 – April 10, 2027
Artwork Pick Up: April 12, 2027

Installation & Presentation Requirements
• All works must be exhibition ready with secure hanging hardware (no sawtooth).
• 2D works must weigh under 50 lbs. and be framed or professionally finished.
• Wall hanging relief work acceptable, no 3D work.
• Video/digital work must include required display equipment.
• Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup.

Curators may exclude works that do not meet professional standards or differ significantly from submitted images.

Insurance & Liability
The Attucks Theatre and its partners are not responsible for damage or loss during shipping, delivery, installation, or exhibition. Artists are encouraged to carry their own insurance.

Additional Programming
Artist talks, workshops, and community programming may be added. Applicants may propose ideas for community engagement.

Sale of Artwork
• Works may be for sale or not for sale (NFS).
• All works must remain for the full exhibition.
• Sales inquiries will be directed to the artist.
• No commission will be taken.
