“Women’s Vision” is a juried exhibition presented by the Peninsula Women’s Caucus for Art (PWCA), inviting artists to explore the expansive, complex, and deeply personal ways women see, interpret, and shape the world.
Location of Exhibition:
John O’Lague Galleria at Hayward City Hall
777 B Street, Downtown Hayward
Gallery Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Theme
Vision is both literal and metaphorical: it encompasses sight, insight, foresight, and imagination. “Women’s Vision” encourages artists to reflect on identity, memory, culture, and environmental influences.
Artists are invited to interpret the theme broadly. Submissions may address (but are not limited to):
• Personal or collective identity
• Inner landscapes, dreams, and spirituality
• Environmental awareness and connection to place
Eligibility
Open to all PWCA members. All media are welcomed including painting, sculpture, photography, fiber art, and mixed media.
Submission Guidelines
• Up to 5 artworks per artist
• All work must be original
Important Dates
• Submission Deadline: June 12, 2026
• Notification of Acceptance: June 17, 2026
• Exhibition Dates: June 29 through September 2, 2026
• Opening Reception: Friday, July 10, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
Drop Off:
• Thursday, June 25, 2026, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM [Preferred date and time] or June 26, 2026, 9:30 AM -11:00 AM
• All 2D artworks must be ready to hang - use D-rings and wire attached 1/3 from the top.
• All 3D must have a stable bottom.
• All artists must bring a one page bio for the gallery binder

• Thursday, September 3, 2026, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM or
• Friday, September 4, 2026, 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
