LandEscape
Landscape: /ˈlan(d)ˌskāp/ : Work of art where nature is the focal point.
LandEscape: /lan(d)ˌ’ē skāp/ : Work of art (abstract, realism, impressionism, conceptual…..) where the natural or imagined places are where you WISH to be or actually DO escape to.
This exhibition aims to expand, or even reimagine the traditional landscape as a personal sanctuary, and urges creators to consider moving beyond mere geographical representation. Rather than simply capturing a balanced natural view, artists are invited to illustrate environments that offer psychological relief from the pressures of modern existence and explore the spectrum of tranquility, ranging from intimate, secluded havens to the overwhelming vastness of the open horizon. Ultimately, the exhibition aims to document the diverse spatial forms of escapism that we need to recharge our spirits.
Open to most mediums. We are unable to accept electronic media. AI generated work will not be accepted for this show.
This show will be juried by Shona Macdonald.
