EntryThingy suggests 1920 X 1920 is a good size Images must accurately represent original work to be exhibited.
Works with protruding nails, staples, or saw-tooth hangers will NOT be accepted. Braided wire or strong plastic line should be used. Wire ends must be taped to avoid injury to handlers. Hanging artwork must be no larger than 4ft x 8ft and weigh no more than 40 pounds.
Plexiglas should be used on work exceeding 28 X 36 in. or 1015 sq. in. rather than glass if it is required for artwork.
Three dimensional and assembled works must be stable and safe for viewing. Pieces weighing more than 40 pounds or that need complicated assembly must be done by the artist upon submission of accepted work.
Names and telephone numbers must be attached to the work. Title is also helpful.
Any work containing unacceptable subject matter will be withdrawn (determined by the NCA Board of Directors).
Insurance is the responsibility of the artist.
The Sacramento Fine Arts Center and its organizations will not be held responsible for loss or damage of any work. All members assisting with this project shall not be held responsible for any liability arising from this exhibit.
Insurance and shipping fees are the responsibility of the artist.
ELIGIBILITY:
Only original artworks created within the last 3 years and not previously shown at Sac Arts will be accepted.
NOT ACCEPTED:
Photography, copies of published artwork, gicleés, videos, film or crafts, class/ workshop art, or work reproduced by any commercial process are not accepted for this show. Mixed media that is extensively photography, or commercial printing may be disqualified at the discretion of the co-chairs or judge.
JURY AND AWARDS:
Judge will select artwork for the show from online entries via EntryThingy. Notification of Jury Results of accepted art work will be sent by EntryThingy e-mail and posted on NCA website October 8, 2026.
Artist whose artwork is accepted will then submit their original artwork for final judging per show calendar. Artwork which differs from images submitted will NOT be shown. Judging for awards will be held after receiving the art by Judge Helen Plenert.
Awards will be given at the Judge's discretion. The decision of the Judge is final.
All Entries must be submitted digitally ONLINE VIA PAYPAL IN ORDER FOR ENTRY TO BE ACCEPTED. (PayPal account is not necessary. Deadline for entry is September 5, 2026. Late entries will not be juried.
A maximum of 3 artworks per artist may be entered for juror's selection to be considered for this exhibit. Only 2 artworks per artist may be exhibited.
Entry Fee (non refundable): $50 for 1, 2 or 3 entries.
I understand there is NO STORAGE after the show. I will pick up my work on Saturday, October 31, 3-5 pm. or the following week during gallery hours. Work left after one month becomes the property of NCA.
Upon notification that your artwork will be included in the exhibition, I understand it will be hand carried or shipped to NCA, Inc., 5330-B Gibbons Drive, Carmichael, CA 95608.
REMEMBER, your file is all the juror has to vote from for acceptance. The image should be clear, nicely cropped (with frame or without), good size to zoom in if needed.
