Of a Topographical Nature

• Non-refundable entry fee is $25 for members/$35 for non-members for up to three entries. Pay online no later than 03/22/2026 by 9pm (note that a PayPal account is not required to use a credit card). NWCS members may pay by check, postmark deadline March 16, made payable to Northwest Collage Society. Please contact the Shows Committee at [email protected] for the mailing address. Another option open to members is payment by Zelle transfer to [email protected].Please submit your pieces together. NWCS incurs a cost for each form submission.

• Sales. All sales will be handled through Collage-O-Rama. Artists will receive the net proceeds from any sales, less 20% and applicable sales tax, within 30 days after closing of exhibit. Works may be submitted as NFS (not for sale).

• Entries must be original, entirely created by the entrant, and not shown in a previous NWCS exhibit.

• All entries must be collage, defined as: an artistic composition made of various materials (e.g., paper, photographs, paint) glued onto a supporting surface.

• 2D and 3D collage artwork will be accepted. There are no size or substrate restrictions. 2D pieces must be able to hang on a wall with a hanging wire securely attached.

• Prints will not be accepted since physical texture is the main theme of this show.

• Identify your artwork with a label listing your name, title, and price. Labels are provide on the last page of the prospectus.

• NWCS and Collage-O-Rama reserve the right not to accept artwork it determines to be inappropriate.

• Digital images of selected work will be retained by the NWCS and Collage-O-Rama. NWCS and Collage-O-Rama assume permission to reproduce accepted artwork for promotional uses.

• Image submission requirements: JPG or PNG only. Minimum size on the shortest side: 1080px. Maximum file size: 4mb; Minimum file size: 500k;

• If possible, please use this format for file names: Lastname_firstname_title_framesize(wxh).jpg (e.g.: brown_john_nightoverseattle_24x24.jpg)

• Use the description field to talk about your approach with each piece. Northwest Collage Society may use this information in promotional materials for the show, such as show booklets and social media posts.

• Delivery and Shipping. Shipped works must arrive by Monday, April 27. A Seattle-area delivery address (residential) will be provided in acceptance notifications. Artists are responsible for roundtrip shipping and insurance (during shipping), and must include a return shipping label or arrangements for someone to pick up the work if not sold. Please use a container appropriate for reuse in return shipping (boxes are preferred over padded envelopes), and make sure your name is clearly visible on the outside of the package. If using bubble wrap or other material to encase your artwork, please make sure it can be easily unwrapped (use a few tabs of highly visible tape rather than sealing bubble wrap with clear packing tape that is tricky for us to cut through). Returned artwork will ship within 3 weeks of the show close.

• Entry and Awards Juror, Anna Macrae. This is a juried show. Anna Macrae is a British born artist living in Seattle since 2001. She is a process driven artist. Her work is generated in response to the materials that she uses together with the techniques and processes that she has developed. She is interested in texture and surface and playing with non-precious unconventional materials. She follows an intuitive path, where disrespect for conventions are primary. Her intentions are to honor the mundane and tell the story of moments in time, valuing those small pieces that make up the seemingly average - knowing that they are important and can be seen, if you know how to look. Anna is represented by the SAM Gallery and Shift Gallery in Seattle, and she is a member of the Northwest Designer Craftsmen. Anna also curates exhibitions for Era Living to bring a rich variety of rotating quality arts exhibitions to their retirement communities. She seeks to enhance and refresh the visual environment for the residents, and provide a platform for conversations and connections between local artists and the community.

• Awards Up to 9 awards are given for this show. There are 4 possible first-tier awards (NWCS Award, NWCS Spring 2026 Award, Peggy Tuttle Memorial Award, and Eleanor Wolters Smith Memorial Award). There are also 4 possible Merit Awards. These awards are at juror discretion. In addition, there will be a People's Choice award determined by gallery visitor votes and awarded at the end of the exhibition.
